Nine pubs in and around Bristol have been bought in a massive deal.
Community pub group Admiral Taverns has acquired 137 UK sites from brewing and pub retailers Marstons, which owns several boozers in the city.
Admiral Taverns is now the owner of the Malthouse in Thornbury; Fox on Broad Lane in Yate; Hollow Tree on Brook Way in Bristol; Baileys Court Inn in Bradley Stoke; The Folly at Emersons Green; Huntsman Taverners Downend; Old Plough in Kingswood; Pitcher and Piano on Canon’s Road; and Fox and Goose in Barrow Gurney.
The news comes just weeks after Admiral Taverns acquired the Warwick Arms in Kingswood and the Lifeboat in Shirehampton from Star Pubs & Bars.
Chris Jowsey, chief executive of Admiral Taverns said: “This is another exciting acquisition for our business, building on the strong momentum established over the course of the year and on behalf of the entire team I would like to take this opportunity to welcome our new licensees and colleagues to Admiral.
“We remain fully committed to the leased and tenanted model and through this acquisition have been able to acquire an excellent portfolio of pubs which we look forward to developing through our award-winning and highly supportive approach."

Admiral Taverns says it has partnered with "experienced operator" Helen Standing who will support the integration programme for some of the pubs.
Chris added: "Helen is a highly successful, experienced operator who is well known to our team and we are looking forward to working very closely with her and these pubs.”
Admiral Taverns was supported in the deal by investors Proprium Capital Partners and C&C Group.
The group's national portfolio is comprised of a mixture of predominately tenanted, leased and retail-agreement sites across England and Wales.
