Nine arrests after intruders 'barricade themselves' inside building in Bristol area

Nine people have been arrested after intruders "forced entry" into a building in South Gloucestershire today (May 15). Police swooped on a business in Aztec West after an alarm was activated at about 4.15pm.

Officers remained there until 8pm as the intruders "barricaded themselves inside" and damaged the building, and six were arrested for aggravated burglary, according to police. Images uploaded to social media appear to show at least three police vehicles at the scene and a cordon was put up.

A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: "There is damage to the building, including graffiti and smashed windows. By 8pm officers arrested six people on suspicion of aggravated burglary.
