Nine arrested at Leeds city centre flat after Class A drugs raid

Nine people have been arrested at a Leeds city centre flat following a drugs raid.

Seven men and two women, aged between 29 and 59, have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

West Yorkshire Police executed a drugs warrant at a flat in Lovell Park Towers, off Lovell Park Road, Leeds, shortly after 2pm yesterday (Sunday December 29).

A police scene remains in place outside the flats and searches are being carried out.

A witness told LeedsLive he had seen officers searching in the grass outside the tower block.

A spokesman for West Yorkshire Police said: "Shortly after 2pm yesterday (29/12) police executed a drugs warrant at a flat in Lovell Park Towers, Leeds, and arrested nine people – seven men and two women aged 29 to 59 – on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

"A scene remains in place outside the flats pending a search."
