UDHAGAMANDALAM: A 58-year-old employee of a cooperative store at Kotagiri died after a truck hit a two-wheeler on which he was travelling near Sholurmattam in Kilkotagiri on Monday night.
Police said M Bhojkumar and his friend M Dharmarajan, 57, were on their way home when the truck coming from the opposite direction hit their vehicle.
While Bhojkumar died on the spot, Dharmaraj sustained injuries. While the truck driver escaped from the spot, the police seized the truck.
The body of the deceased was sent to the government hospital for postmortem. rch is on for the driver.
