The Jockey Club has confirmed Nile Rodgers and CHIC will return to Merseyside this summer for a huge night of funk, pop and disco after "phenomenal demand".
Last summer saw the hit-makers sell out a headline concert at Aintree Racecourse, with this August's event set to offer a similar, show-stopping experience. On Friday, August 11, Nile Rodgers and CHIC will take over Haydock Park Racecourse.
The open-air setting will provide the backdrop for an atmospheric and electric performance by the musical legends. Nile Rodgers is a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, a Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee, and a multiple Grammy award winning songwriter, composer, producer, arranger and guitarist.

As the co-founder of CHIC, Rodgers generated chart-topping hits like Le Freak, the biggest selling single in the history of Atlantic Records, and sparked the advent of hip-hop with Good Times. His work in the CHIC Organization is equally impressive, and includes hits like We Are Family with Sister Sledge, and I'm Coming Out with Diana Ross.
Rodgers' productions for artists like David Bowie, with Let's Dance; Madonna, with Like A Virgin; and Duran Duran with The Reflex, have sold more than 500 million albums and 100 million singles worldwide.
Rodgers continues to collaborate with artists to this day, utilising his trademark innovative, trendsetting style with Daft Punk, Daddy Yankee and Beyoncé, ensuring his legacy continues with contemporary creators and music lovers alike.

Due to phenomenal demand, we had to bring them back to Merseyside."

Tickets for Nile Rodgers & CHIC at Haydock Park Racecourse will go on sale at 10am on Friday, February 17 via thejockeyclublive.co.uk, with a presale available to customers at 10am on Wednesday, February 15.
Tickets prices start from £35 for presale, and from £38 for general sale. There will be hospitality packages available to suit all budgets, and limited children's tickets will be available.
