Nikola Vucevic powers Magic to 102-89 win over Nets

ORLANDO, Fla. _ There was no fourth-quarter comeback this time for the Brooklyn Nets. Orlando Magic center Nikola Vucevic helped make sure of that.

Vucevic scored 12 of his game-high 24 points in the fourth quarter, helping lead the Magic to a 102-89 victory Saturday over the Brooklyn Nets at Amway Center.

Vucevic also finished with 12 rebounds for his 36th double-double of the season as the Magic (22-31) extended their winning streak to two games.

Orlando outscored Brooklyn _ which rallied from an 11-point fourth-quarter deficit to win Jan. 18 at Amway Center _ in the second half by a 58-41 count.

Evan Fournier had 16 points, Aaron Gordon finished with 15 points, and Jonathan Isaac had 10 points and 12 rebounds for Orlando, which beat Brooklyn for the first time in three games this season.

The teams will not meet again in the regular season.

D'Angelo Russell finished with 23 points for the Nets, who shot just 36.3 percent from the field and 26.3 percent from the 3-point line.

Ed Davis had 11 points and 16 rebounds for the Nets (28-26), who have lost three of their last four.

Vucevic scored eight straight points at one point for the Magic, helping them build a 96-86 lead with 2:28 to play and finally put the Nets away.

The Magic erased a four-point halftime deficit with a 34-point third quarter as D.J. Augustin came to life with 10 points. He had eight straight points to help the Magic surge to a 69-60 lead after a Fournier 3-pointer at the 3:56 mark of the quarter.

The Magic will travel to Oklahoma City to face the Thunder on Tuesday.
