Nikola Vlasic wary of Everton fans as he targets West Ham win on Goodison Park return

Former Everton midfielder Nikola Vlasic is determined to win on his first return to Goodison Park but admits it will be difficult for West Ham United because of the “really loud” fans.

The Hammers, managed by the former long-serving Blues boss David Moyes, triumphed 1-0 in last season’s corresponding fixture played behind closed doors because of coronavirus-induced restrictions.

However, with a full house expected for Sunday’s clash, Croatian international Vlasic, who scored twice for Everton in 19 matches after joining them as a teenager for £10million from Hajduk Split acknowledges it will be a very different scenario this time around.

The east London side’s summer signing from CSKA Moscow told West Ham United’s official website : “I have good memories with Everton, but now I hope I will go there with West Ham and we will win this game.

“It’s always good memories and a good feeling to play there.

“Goodison Park is a difficult place to go. The fans are really loud, and they are helping their all the game so it’ll be hard for us, but I think all the players here are used to that atmosphere. It’s hard at every away game, so there shouldn’t be any problems with that.”
