Nikola Vlasic agent gives update on Everton loanee - and casts doubt over his future

Nikola Vlasic's time at Everton appears to be coming to an end after the midfielder's agent confirmed he wants to stay at CSKA Moscow next season and the two clubs are currently in talks.

The 21-year-old was signed by Ronald Koeman from Hajduk Split in August 2017, but found first team opportunities limited under both David Unsworth and Sam Allardyce before being loaned out to the Russia club last summer.

Impressing for CSKA, the Croatian has scored eight goals for the club including a famous winner against Real Madrid in the Champions League, and has spoken negatively about his time at Goodison on more than one occasion.

Having earned a recall to the Croatia national team after missing out on their squad for the World Cup, Vlasic is keen to stay in Moscow with his agent, Tonchi Martic, confirming negotiations are currently underway.

"At the moment, everything is possible with regards to future of Vlasic," he told Championat correspondent Andrei Pankov in an interview, cited by Sport Witness . "Nikola really wants to stay at CSKA but the club must reach an agreement with Everton first.
