Nikola Katic Rangers transfer latest as exit offers 'not interesting' to star eyeing Ibrox comeback

Focused Nikola Katic wants to stick with Rangers this season despite reports over a loan move to Italian side Spezia.

Glasgow Live Sport report the 24-year-old is putting any exit talk to one side as he continues his comeback from a serious knee injury.

Katic was a key contributor under Steven Gerrard before his horror setback and hasn't played a competitive game since he injured his cruciate last summer.

A source close to the player said: said: "Niko's only focus is to be part of the Rangers squad. Calls from other clubs are not interesting at the moment.

"He is very happy because he has returned to training on the pitch."

Rangers are well-stocked in central defence with Connor Goldson, Filip Helander, Jack Simpson and Leon Balogun all currently ahead of him in the pecking order.

But the 24-year-old still has plenty to offer if he can get himself back to full fitness in the coming months.

Spezia are understood to be one of a number of clubs who would be keen on taking the former Slaven Belupo man on loan.
