Nikola Katic fires 'no surrender' message to fans as he nears return to fitness

Rangers defender Nikola Katic has sent a defiant message to the club's supporters as he nears a long-awaited return to the first-team.

The Croatian centre-back developed into a key player for Steven Gerrard throughout the 2019/20 season after a string of impressive displays, including a masterful showing against Celtic, which included heading home the winning goal in a 2-1 victory.

But Katic hasn't been seen in the Rangers starting XI at all this season after the 24-year-old ruptured his Anterior Cruciate Ligament last summer and required major surgery.

Most ACL injuries often involve a lengthly spell of rehab but it seems Katic is getting closer to full fitness and showing absolutely no signs of giving up any time soon:

It looks as though Katic is in beautiful surroundings but he'll be keen to head back to Glasgow in time for next season to start, where he'll challenge Connor Goldson and Filip Helander for a starting berth as the Ibrox club bid to reach the Champions League group stage for the first time since 2008.
