Niko Katic shows off new Rangers look as Croatian defender proves he means business on return

It's probably the only thing Rangers fans would have changed about last season, an injury to Niko Katic.

The big defender suffered a serious knee injury in pre-season and didn't play a second of football during the invincible campaign as they clinched 55.

Katic was working hard back in Croatia for much of the season as he tried to get back to fitness and he's now back in full training with Steven Gerrard's men.

The fan favourite is well loved at the club and highly-rated by the coaching staff but now has to get himself back into playing regular, and that won't be easy.

With Connor Goldson, Filip Helander and Leon Balogun all viewed as the first choice options, and George Edmundson and Jack Simpson looking to make an impact, there's plenty of competition.

Now Rangers are back in pre-season and Katic will be hoping to prove himself and the Croatian centre back has shown off a new look on his return to training.

The 24-year-old normally has a full head of hair but he's turned up at Auchenhowie with a completely new look by shaving it all off.

With the work being done in the gym during his time injured and the new bald look, he looks a scary looking prospect ahead of the new campaign.

And Rangers fans love it too with one commenting: "Baldy Niko means business."
