Niklas Sule, Eden Hazard - The latest Chelsea transfer rumours ahead of the January window

The January transfer window will be here sooner than you perhaps might think.

Chelsea are typically big spenders, and they may need to further strengthen their squad if something worthwhile presents itself in the market.

Equally, there may be opportunity for some players to leave in the near future.

The likes of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen are out of contract at the end of the season, whilst some others have been linked with moves away, giving Thomas Tuchel and Marina Granovskaia some thinking to do.

With that in mind, football.london has taken a look at some of the latest rumours out there.

Niklas Sule, who has long been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge, is coming to the end of his contract with Bayern Munich.

However, according to Christian Falk, there have been talks between Newcastle United and Sule's representatives.

Given the Magpies' new financial status, a move for the German certainly has potential.

What?

Newcastle United are one of the clubs interested in former Chelsea star Hazard.

The 30-year-old has spent repeated time away from the pitch due to injuries since arriving at Real Madrid in 2019.

When given opportunities, he has struggled as the forward managed only five goals and nine assists in 53 matches.

He has been subsequently linked with a sensational return to Chelsea but the Magpies may be able to make a more lucrative offer.
