Nikki Bella 'open to shock WWE return' despite announcing retirement

Nikki Bella is refusing to rule out a return to the WWE.

The longest reigning Divas Champion announced her retirement in Sunday's season finale of Total Bellas.

The scenes were filmed back in late 2018 as Nikki followed in the footsteps of sister Brie in calling it a day.

Bella, who split with WWE legend John Cena in July last year, said she was quitting to focus on her own business ventures.

Her last televised event was a defeat to Raw women's champion  Ronda Rousey  at Evolution in October - but that may not be the last time we see her in the ring.

WWE may NOT have room for John Cena at Wrestlemania 35

TMZ report Bella is 'very open' to returning to the WWE but on her terms as she has no plans to fulfill a full-time role.

It is suggested she will make future cameos if they are offered if the 'time is right'.

Bella remains a WWE ambassador and maintains a great relationship with the company, keeping the door open for a possible wrestling return.

Two WWE superstars 'ready to QUIT after Wrestlemania 35'

Speaking in the season finale, she said: "The European tour was good but I feel like I'm too old for the travel, the travel was really rough.

"I was like, why am I doing this. I don't feel good. The girls are doing amazing things over there. I really am ready to hang up the jersey, I can say it fully."

"It’s making me realize I’m ready to fold the jersey and put it away. I’m ready to put the kicks aside and I’m ready to take Nikki Bella into a different direction."

Meanwhile, the Bellas have announced that they are starting their own podcast, which is set to begin this week.
