49ers fans no longer have to search for or customize shoes that might match their game day outfit. Nike is set to release the Air Zoom Pegasus 36 in a 49ers colorway on Thursday, Aug. 8 at Dick’s Sporting Goods.
The Air Zoom Pegasus 36 has “more perforations and engineered mesh in the upper for targeted breathability across high-heat areas. A slimmer heel collar and tongue with your team’s logo reduce bulk without compromising comfort, while exposed Flywire cables give you a snug fit at higher speeds” according to the company.

It takes a pretty hardcore fan to get decked out down to the footwear, but a team-specific shoe made by the NFL’s uniform and apparel supplier could help alleviate some of the problems people have with finding shoes that actually go with what they’re wearing.
This has been a good year for fashion-minded football fans between the New Era sideline hats and these new team Nikes.
Now it’s up to the 49ers to put together a season that allows their fan base to sport their new gear while watching games in January.
