Nike set to drop another Ohio State shoe, but the colors are a wee-bit off

We’ve already seen Nike drop an Ohio State themed running shoe out to the world last week, but now it’s getting ready to begin all the publicity for some more Scarlet and Gray kicks — sort of.

That’s because the shoes red hue isn’t exactly the official color Ohio State uses, in fact rather far from it. It looks more to be a cross between burgundy and maroon than scarlet, but I’m sure there will be fans that like the look and pull the trigger on the new Nike React Element 55 shoes.

In fact, the shoe itself is pretty sharp and is a good alternative for folks that didn’t quite like the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 36 (yeah, I got mine after some negotiating with the better half).

We just have to wonder if Nick Saban had any input in the design since it looks awfully close to what someone that yells “Roll Tide” would wear. Anyhow, it has Ohio State plastered all over it, so you can at least prove that it’s designed around your tastes.

According to Andrew Lind of the Buckeye Sports Bulletin, the shoe is set to drop in October and retail around $130. Just make sure you snatch them up before all the ‘Bama fans can.
