Nightmare moment huge seagull smashes into woman's face on rollercoaster

A thrill-seeker got a little more than she bargained for when a huge seagull smashed into her face mid-ride.

Friends Georgia Reed, 14, and Kiley Holman, 13, had chosen to ride the SpringShot attraction at Morey's Piers amusement park in New Jersey.

But as they strapped to get hurled into the sky at 75 mph - they were joined by a feathered friend while soaring through the air.

Footage from the ride shows Kiley's horrified face as the bird comes into view before heading straight for her face.

Kiley said: "When I got shot up, then I saw it. It was going the opposite way and then it came back and hit me right in the face.

"It felt really light and it only left like the tiniest scratch."

Kiley was able to remove the bird from her face and it seemingly flew away uninjured.

Georgia seemed blissfully unaware of the trouble going on next to her, but Kiley said she desperately tried to tell her what was happening.

Kiley added: "I was trying to tell her", with the video capturing Kiley yelling, "A bird flew on my face! A bird flew on my face! Oh my God!"

"She told me to stop talking because she thought she was going to throw up," Kiley added.

Kiley's mum Alena said nobody knew what had happened until the girls returned to the ground covered in feathers.

Alena said: "We did not know what happened until they got off. We did see feathers falling from ride, but at first, I assumed they were tickets.
