Leeds United fans have been left encouraged by what they witnessed from new signing Rodrigo.
The forward was in action for Spain as they took on Germany in the UEFA Nations League on Thursday night.
The 29-year-old forward was named in the starting line-up by Spain boss Luis Enrique and completed the full 90 minutes for his side in Stuttgart.
Rodrigo helped to set-up Spain’s equaliser in the last minute, as his header allowed Jose Gaya to secure a 1-1 draw after Timo Werner had fired the Germans ahead.
And reacting to his performance on Twitter, Whites fans have been left encouraged by what they saw.
The Whites broke their 20-year-old transfer record to bring the Spain international to the club, who joins for a fee believed to be £27million and has signed a four-year deal.
"For me, I'm really happy, very excited to join the club for this important season for all of us, coming back to the Premier League," Rodrigo told LUTV after his signing was announced.
"I just want to thank you all for the messages on the social media. Thank you to the club, the president Andrea, Victor Orta for the effort. For me, it's important, a new step in my career and I want to help the team to achieve the goals of the season.
"Leeds have been working for two weeks almost on this deal with Valencia. We knew that Valencia has more problems now because we didn't achieve the Champions League last season. But since the first time Victor talked to me, I knew I wanted this new challenge with Leeds, a storied club. I just want to help everybody to achieve the goals of the season."
