Popular bars and restaurants in Liverpool city centre were forced to close for two weeks due to a "major power outage."
Pasta Cosa and McGuffie & Co are among the businesses affected by the issue on Castle Street which has left them without any power since March 10.
Both businesses plan to welcome customers back through their doors today, March 25, with the help of an electric generator but the power issue in the building, which is also home to a number of offices, remains ongoing.
ScottishPower told the ECHO the issue is due to an internal fault and once it's fully resolved they will return to the site to "reinstate the supply."

Owner of McGuiffe's, Phil Haughton, 43, said: "Obviously it's gutting for us having been closed for covid and just trying to build business back up - and obviously January and February mostly are quieter periods anyway.
"We look forward to March and to the nice weather, we look forward to St Patrick's Day, and we've missed all of that. It looks as though the work is still ongoing at the moment.
"All I know is there was a major outage and I think it had to be all shut down in the end. They have put a generator out for us so we will be back open today fingers crossed.
"Unfortunately it's caused issues with equipment so I'm rushing around today to source things to fix the equipment. It is a nightmare and it's completely out of our hands. It's not something we wanted to do and we look forward to welcoming customers back."

Pasta Cosa is also welcoming customers back for the first time in two weeks today following the power issue.
Owner Talia Baccino, 35, said: "The actual power issue isn't fixed but we've got a generator giving us temporary power until the issue is resolved. It's been very stressful, we've just been trying to get back open.
"The landlord has arranged temporary power with this generator. The staff have missed it, they're all glad to be back on site.
"We've had lots of customers getting in touch through social media wondering what's going on and when we'll be back."
An SP Energy Networks spokesperson said: “The issue at Castle Street is related to an internal fault, past the consumer unit which we do not have responsibility for.
"However, we did attend the site straight away following a call into our customer service team to ensure the issue was safe to be worked on. Once the issue has been fully resolved and the customer gets in touch to let us know our team will be back on site to reinstate the supply.”
