If you choose to take yourself back to the dog days of the pandemic when our finest sports moments came from the Orlando Bubble, you’ll remember the NBA playoffs series between the Denver Nuggets and Utah Jazz. It was a weird time. Donovan Mitchell and Jamal Murray exchanged 50-point games and would then casually cross paths after games at one of the Disney resorts they stayed in.
If you didn’t know, Denver won that series after trailing 3-1, which was somehow its least-memorable series win of that postseason. The Jazz disappointingly parted the Bubble but returned the following year for a dominant regular season. Yet, the playoffs rolled around and handed them another painful season-ending loss.
