Night of horror in Dublin as duo slashed by thugs in 15 minute stabbing rampage

There was a night of horror in south Dublin last night as two people were stabbed in the one area by thugs during a 15 minute stabbing rampage.

The pair were slashed in the Lucan area between 9:30pm and 9:45pm on Friday night.

One of the victims was a 17-year-old who is currently in hospital in a serious condition.

Gardai are investigating if the two stabbings are connected after being carried out within a short distance of each other in the west suburb.

At around 9:45pm, officers rushed to the Castle Road where a man was brought to Connolly Hospital suffering from stab wounds in the leg.

Just 15 minutes before that, officers found another person nearby, the teenager, who had multiple stab wounds.

He is currently in Tallaght Hospital where his condition is being described as serious but not-life threatening.

A Garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "Gardaí are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred last night at approximately 21:30pm.

"A male was taken to Tallaght Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries and enquiries are ongoing."

He added: "Gardaí are investigating a stabbing incident that occurred on the Castle Road at approximately 21:45pm, 11 December.

"A male was taken to Blanchardstown Hospital to be treated for non-life threatening injuries and enquiries are ongoing."
