We're so ready for autumn. Cosy knitwear and coats, sunny but chilly days, pumpkin spice lattes - and The Great British Bake Off. Nigella Lawson is a new addition to the judging panel this time around, and if today's sneak peek is anything to go by, she's going to bring a whole lot of glamour to the tent.
She posted a teaser clip on Instagram, and we instantly recognised her eye-catching purple jumpsuit. It's the ME+EM Very Wide-Leg Jumpsuit, which we've already spotted on Maureen Lipman and Good Morning Britain's Charlotte Hawkins.
Featuring flattering little sleeves, an adjustable zip front and flowy wide-leg trousers, this is the ultimate one-and-done outfit that feels much more polished than jeans. It looks effortlessly stylish the way Nigella wore hers, paired with white trainers, and the best news is it's currently reduced by a massive 60% in the ME+EM sale.

Shop purple jumpsuits

This is the jumpsuit that Nigella's wearing, and you'll be pleasantly surprised to see that it's 60% off in the ME+EM sale. The lightweight tweed fabric is ideal as we head into autumn, plus this all-in-one is impeccably tailored. You can see how beautifully it moves when Nigella walks in the video.

If you've got a wedding coming up in September or October, a jumpsuit offers a striking alternative to a dress. The wrap-over shape and puff sleeves on this one are very pretty, yet still allow the statement colour to take centre stage.

This jumpsuit really could pass for designer. It's made from a comfortable stretch fabric, plus the fitted bodice and asymmetric neckline are so elegant. For dressy occasions, add block heel sandals for a bit of height.
Shop white trainers

The FitFlop Rally trainer is a woman&home favourite, and from the moment they arrive, you'll see why. They're comfortable from the first wear and incredibly lightweight. The leather finish is more practical than canvas styles for the autumn months, too.

M&S shoppers are going wild for these affordable yet comfortable trainers. These are more of a cream colour than bright white, making them a softer alternative. One reviewer wrote: "Fabulous fitting trainers! Very modern looking and so comfy. Perfect as they come in half sizes... I am sure I will get plenty of wear out of them."

You'll no doubt have heard rave reviews about Sole Bliss' comfortable heels and bunion-friendly shoes, but did you know they do amazing wide-fit trainers, too? The zip-up design of these makes them so easy to put on in the morning.
It's likely Nigella's jumpsuit will soon sell out, so don't wait until The Great British Bake Off is back on our screens before you invest. Bravo to her stylist Elena Garcia for putting this purple look back on our radar - the only reason we haven't bought it before now was the price tag, which is much easier to justify now it's in the sale!
ME+EM is the British clothing brand that fashion editors and insiders rave about, so this jumpsuit is a great place to start your collection. Aside from anything else, not having to stand in front of the mirror and figure out whether this top works with those jeans five minutes before you need to leave is well worth the splurge. The best jumpuits really will make dressing for any plans so easy.
When it comes to accessories, you can definitely keep it simple as Nigella has. The violet colour is bold enough on its own, so just opt for subtle gold jewellery and a neutral handbag.
