Nigella Lawson fans in stitches over 'sexy' dish - and now they can't unsee it

Nigella Lawson fans have been left in stitches after noticing one of her popular dishes looks like something much ruder than it actually is. Of course, the telly cook is known for sharing recipes that delight viewers, but this time she caught their attention for a cheekier reason than normal.

Rather than flocking to praise the delicious recipe, fans instead found it caused their bellies to rumble - with laughter. The commotion was caused by the chef's Hoisin Quail dish. Shared to her website with instructions, the post featured a photo of the meal, with three, well-cooked quails on a plate.

But foodie fans were all in agreement that they looked like something else - naked ladies.

Harris Marion said: “Honestly, at first glance, I thought this was a woman lying on her back with her knees up.”

Susannah Browne added: "Sunbathing ladies with burnt knees and toes."

Another fan self-deprecatingly said: “Looks like me on a sun lounger."

And a fourth joked: "When I get out of a hot bath."

However, someone else thought "they look like a chorus line all ready to dance."

Nonetheless, people were agreement that it is undoubtedly a "sexy dish."

Introducing the recipe, which is featured in Nigella Summer, the chef wrote: "I love these sweet and meaty quail, conker-shiny in their vaguely Chinesey marinade.

"As often as not, I grill them rather than barbecue them; even a blitz in a very hot oven will do.

"The thing is to marinate them for a good long time - at least 24 hours - so that they keep fleshy and juicy and meltingly tender no matter how brutally you cook them."

The dish serves up to five people and the ingredients include 10 quails, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ginger, garlic and orange.

The Mirror has contacted Nigella Lawson for comment.
