Nigel Farage meets superfan who had his face tattooed on her arm

()

A Ukip supporter who had Nigel Farage’s face tattooed on her arm met with the Ukip leader at the party’s annual conference in Doncaster.

Kerrie Webb, from Chesterfield, Derbyshire, is a huge fan of Nigel Farage and had his face permanently inked on her arm to prove it.

The 38-year-old is a passionate Ukip supporter who gave up her job as a railway engineer to canvass for the party after Mr Farage’s election defeat in South Thanet.

Webb also has the face of her other hero - The Cure’s frontman Robert Smith - across her other arm.

“I feel very passionately about what he stands for and how he is going to change Britain,” she said at the conference, telling LBC she sees a lot of herself in Mr Farage.

Mr Farage said he was flattered by the portrait and praised the likeness as “astonishing” as he signed it for her. Webb also met with Katie Hopkins at the conference, who, for once, appeared lost for words at the sight of it.

It has been a seemingly quiet few months for the anti-EU party after Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn continued to dominate the headlines with his surprise election victory.

The many faces of Nigel Farage

The Ukip conference began with a session on "Europe in crisis" that will focus on migration and calls for borders to be secured. Mr Farage believes Britain has a 50/50 chance of leaving the EU and has vowed to dedicate all his time to campaigning for a Brexit in the in/out referendum.
