Nigel Farage loses temper with Piers Morgan in explosive Good Morning Britain row over Donald Trump

Piers Morgan has clashed with a furious Nigel Farage over Donald Trump’s approach to the coronavirus pandemic.

The former UKIP leader appeared on Good Morning Britain to discuss the early results of the US election this morning.

But tensions boiled over between the pair when Morgan brought up Trump’s comments on ‘injecting disinfectant’ to cure Covid-19.

The incumbent US President was slammed by the medical experts when he suggested that disinfectant could be injected into the skin back in April.

Despite playing a clip of Trump’s words on two occasions, Farage accused Morgan of “being fake news” in an explosive row.

He went on to tell Morgan to “grow up” and accused him of “sinking to the gutter”.

“He didn’t talk about the word bleach”, Farage said.

Piers responded: “I don’t think the president standing there and instructing people to inject bleach is good.”

The Good Morning Britain host pointed out that disinfectant was bleach, but Farage continued to dispute the claims.

“I’m not surprised that your viewers are going down, he raged.

Susanna Reid jumped in, pointing out: "They're not going down, they're going up! That's fake news!"

Morgan tweeted at Farage later in the day to clarify his point (Twitter)

"This is the lowest grade interview I've done in 20 years," Nigel fumed. "I've got better things to do than this.

"Piers, play your silly games!"

Morgan later tweeted an image of Donald Trump staring at a board that listed "bleach" as a disinfectant.

He wrote: "Hi @Nigel_Farage, for your files #Bleach."
