Nigel Farage is coming to a Bristol school

Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage will make an appearance at a Bristol school next week.

The South East MEP will visit Backwell School, a secondary academy on Station Road, to take part in BBC Radio 4's Any Questions panel show on Friday, October 4.

The topical debate will also feature shadow Secretary of State for International Trade Barry Gardiner and author Jeanette Winterson.

Presenter Shaun Ley will chair the event, which will take place from 6pm to 9pm. Tickets are free, but have been fully booked.

A 47-minute broadcast of the debate will air on Radio 4 from 8pm.

Farage's last appearance in Bristol came in 2016, when he hosted a pro-Brexit rally which provoked booing in the streets.
