Nigel Farage falls for LBC radio prank call: 'I became a Brexiteer after being kicked in head by horse'

Nigel Farage was pranked on live radio when a caller said he changed his mind about being a Remainer when he was “kicked in the head by a horse”.

Calling into the Brexit Party leader's LBC show the man, who gave his name as Mark, started by thanking Mr Farage for his political work in recent times.

“I’m immensely grateful to you for everything you’ve done in British politics over the last few years,” Mark told Mr Farage, before explaining how he had switched sides on the Brexit debate.

“I used to be an ardent Remainer. I voted Remain, I believed in the European project, I believed that staying in the European Union was the best thing for us.”

As Mr Farage nodded along, Mark told him: “Then something monumental happened.”

Mr Farage, speaking on Tuesday night, then asked: “And what was that monumental thing, Mark?”

To which he responded: “I was kicked in the head by a horse.”

Sensing the answer was not wholly honest, Mr Farage said: “Right, very good, okay, fine. Thank you, Mark, we’re going to move on.”

The call quickly spread online, after it aired on September 24, with some calling it “brilliant” while it was also branded a “next level” prank.

One person wrote: "This is some amazing trolling by a pro-Remain caller into Nigel Farage's radio show about Brexit. Watch until the end..."

Comedian Danny Wallace added "great call on @lbc just now," while broadcaster Jeremy Vine also shared the clip, alongside some laughing emojis.
