Nigel Farage claims Donald Trump has 'lost a lot of weight' since election flop

Nigel Farage has claimed that Donald Trump has "lost a lot of weight" since losing the US election in November last year.

The former UKIP leader appeared on Good Morning Britain today as he still insisted that there had likely been "voter fraud", which led Trump to lose the election.

Trump eventually conceded that Joe Biden would become the US president in January after months of declaring that he would "never give up" as he claimed that he should have won.

Branding Trump's ban from Twitter as "outrageous", Farage said from his hotel room in Phoenix: "He is going back on the road. I've spent a fair bit of time with him. He's on good form - he's going back on the road. The rallies will start again in June and he will get his message out, that I have no doubt."

Stunned, host Bill Turnbull questioned: "You seriously think he'll run in 2024?"

"I think he's weighing it up very, very closely. I mean, he's 74, he's in very good health actually. He lost a lot of weight when I last saw him. Playing lots of golf, very determined. Mentally ready to fight again.

"But between 74 and 78, things can of course go wrong. I would just say this - the Republican party, in my view, hasn't got anyone else with his courage or charisma. I know his style occasionally puts people off but unless somebody remarkable in the Republican party appears, I think there's a very good chance that he goes again."

Asked whether Trump has accepted yet that he's lost the election, Farage evaded the question by saying that 60% of Republican voters believe that there has been "voter fraud".

Farage also spoke about Dominic Cummings being questioned today by politicians and said: "It's one of the most extraordinary things that's happened in a long time. Dominic Cummings is a very vengeful man.

"Does he have another rabbit he can pull out of the hat?"

He also went on to blame "culture cancel mobs" for "spreading lies" about the lack of crowds at his rallies.

"The left just make up fake news all the time, he fumed.
