Nigel Farage became trapped on his Brexit Party bus today amid fears people gathered around it were carrying milkshakes, according to local reports.
The party leader was visiting Kent on Wednesday to drum up support ahead of the European elections.
He was forced to take cover on the bus after three individuals were spotted with the drinks in Rochester, Kent Live reported.
It comes after the party leader was drenched by a caramel milkshake while campaigning in Newcastle.
Driver Michael Botton told the newspaper: "There are a couple of guys standing over there with milkshakes, they were going to throw them over him.
“But the police are there, we’ve spotted them and now Nigel isn’t getting off the bus.”
The Brexit Party leader is understood to have got off the bus later but stayed close to the vehicle as he spoke to reporters.
Earlier this week Mr Farage was struck by a milkshake while on a walkabout in Newcastle city centre.
His suit was left covered in the drink following the incident at around 1pm on Monday and he was quickly hurried away from the scene by staff.
On Tuesday, Northumbria Police said that 32-year-old Paul Crowther has been charged with common assault and criminal damage.
Crowther, of Holeyn Road, Throckley, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, will appear before magistrates in North Tyneside on June 18, police said.
