Niels Nkounkou has completed a transfer deadline day loan move away from Everton, joining Standard Liege for the remainder of the 2021/22 campaign.
The left-back has joined the Belgian club in pursuit of more regular first-team minutes after providing back-up to Lucas Digne since joining the Blues last summer.
The youngster completed a medical on Tuesday and confirmed his temporary switch to Liege with just over five hours left of the transfer window.

The 20-year-old made the move to Goodison Park from Marseille last summer and was originally planned to be joining up with David Unsworth's under-23s squad.
However, the defender quickly stepped up for the first team and eventually made six senior appearances for the Blues across 2020/21.
The left-back was selected by France for this summer's Olympic Games, and made a League Cup appearance for Everton in the 2-1 League Cup win over Huddersfield earlier this month.
