Nicolo Zaniolo's agent provides transfer update amid Tottenham links

Tottenham are yet to step up their interest in Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo, according to the player's agent.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino is reportedly eyeing Zaniolo, and hopes to beat Real Madrid , Juventus and Bayern Munich to his signature - if the teenage sensation can be persuaded the quit the Serie A side this summer.

Zaniolo, 20, has emerged as one of Europe's most promising midfielders after arriving at Roma last summer as part of the swap deal that took Radja Nainggolan to Inter Milan.

The Italian outfit expected to be hit with a barrage of offers for Zaniolo, who sprang to prominence with a brilliant Champions League performance against Spanish giants Real Madrid last September.

However the starlet's agent Claudio Vigorelli has given an update on his client's situation and insisted that there have been no offers on the table thus far.

As quoted by Calciomercato , Vigorelli said: "To date, as far as we are concerned, no negotiations are underway with any international or Italian club."

Zaniolo made 35 appearances for Roma during his breakthrough campaign in the Italian capital.

And his representative suggested a move is unlikely this summer as the midfielder wants to continue his current project with Roma.

He added: "We have heard a lot about Zaniolo, Roma and his contract in recent weeks.

"Given the media attention to which Nicolo was subjected at national and international level, it is important to make some clarifications.

"Nicolo is a heritage of Roma who believed in his talent first and foremost.

"This is why it is essential to build together the most suitable path to enhance it and continue the extraordinary growth path also in the next season."
