Nicole Scherzinger thanks the troops in her bikini as she hits the waves

Nicole Scherzinger sent her thanks to US troops for Memorial Day as she enjoyed surfing in her bikini.

The Pussycat Dolls singer took to Instagram on May 31 to celebrate the holiday, which honours the military personnel who have died in the performance of their duties.

"In life you can’t stop the waves, but you can learn how to ride them!" she captioned her fun surfing clip.

"Happy Memorial Day! Whether you’re spending time with loved ones or remembering them today, have a blessed holiday.

"Eternally grateful for the brave men and women who serve for our great country!"

In the short clip, Nicole donned a black bikini and a life vest as she expertly rode the waves with a huge smile on her face.

The skies were bright blue and the endless greenery made for a perfect Memorial Day.

Her post comes after her long vacation in Hawaii with her boyfriend Thom Evans.

The star would update her 4.9 million followers with all the adventures she got up to, including beachside yoga and waterfall visits.

Nicole met Thom in 2019 while filming the celebrity version of The X Factor, in which he competed in Try Star alongside fellow Ben Foden and Levi Davis.

After their visit to her home country, Nicole returned to work as a judge on The Masked Singer USA.

She has served as a panellist on the series since the competition's debut in 2019.

The reality TV singing competition premiered for a fifth season last March and ended last week.

American actor Nick Lache won singing as the character Piglet, followed by R&B singer JoJo as the Black Swan and in the third position was rapper Wiz Khalifa as the Chameleon.
