Nicole Kidman's new thriller Nine Perfect Strangers looks like your next TV addiction

After being heavily involved with Big Little Lies and The Undoing, it's clear that Nicole Kidman has an excellent taste for TV drama and her new show Nine Perfect Strangers looks like her impressive streak will continue.

The eight-episode drama is based on the book by Big Little Lies author Liane Moriarty.

In terms of the plot, the story takes place at a boutique health-and-wellness resort that promises healing and transformation as nine stressed city dwellers try to get on a path to a better way of living. Watching over them during this 10-day retreat is the resort’s director, Masha (Kidman), a woman on a mission to reinvigorate their tired minds and bodies.

Aside from Kidman, the cast in this is great with the likes of Melissa McCarthy, Michael Shannon, Luke Evans, Bobby Cannavale, Regina Hall, and Samara Weaving all starring too.

David E. Kelley (The Undoing, Big Little Lies, Mr Mercedes) and John-Henry Butterworth (Ford v Ferrari, Edge of Tomorrow) are the creative minds behind this one

The series is co-written by David E. Kelley, John Henry Butterworth and Samantha Strauss.

At present, Nine Perfect Strangers is set to air on Hulu on August 18 and we expect an Irish premiere date to closely follow.
