Nicole Kidman has broken her ankle while running near her home, her husband, Keith Urban, has said.
According to comments made by the musician during an interview with The Project, the actor ran into a pothole and rolled her ankle, resulting in a minor breakage.
Speaking about his wife of 14 years, Urban said: “About five weeks ago, she was running around the neighborhood, as she does, and just didn’t see a pothole and rolled her ankle and got a small break in her ankle.
“And so she’s been relegated to the boot for the last handful of weeks.”
Urban added that despite the injury, Kidman has been in “amazing” spirits.
“I gotta say she’s been handling it way better than I would’ve,” the 52-year-old added.
The couple tied the knot in 2006 and have two daughters together, Sunday Rose, 11, and Faith Margaret, nine.
Kidman has previously said that she is open to the idea of her two children pursuing a career in Hollywood.
Speaking to WSJ Magazine, last month Kidman explained that her children are “unusual” because they have a “great work ethic” when joining her on film sets.
Both children had small roles in The Angry Birds Movie 2 and were extras on hit HBO show Big Little Lies, in which Kidman stars.
