Details about the disturbing end to former Hollywood Golden couple Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman's marriage have resurfaced amid reports the Scientologist actor has banned his ex from attending their son's wedding.
It was reported the Aussie actress had 'begged' Tom not to leave when he suddenly ended their marriage without warning on 4 February 2001 and announced their separation publicly the following day.
Divorce papers at the time said Nicole "protested [Cruise's] intention to dissolve their marriage and urged him not to leave but to enter marriage counselling with her, or take other steps to address whatever problems may have existed in their marriage... Tom said his decision was final and he departed the parties' home."

The pair were married for 11 years between December 1990 and August 2001.
Shortly before the end of their marriage, Nicole endured a miscarriage.
"It was an incredibly traumatic time for me," Nicole previously said of the experience in an interview with Marie Claire.
It was the second time she'd lost a baby with Tom, after suffering an ectopic pregnancy in 1990 at the age of 23.
"From the minute Tom and I were married, I wanted to have babies," said Nicole.

This week it was alleged that Tom has banned Nicole from attending son Connor's upcoming wedding.
Connor, now 24, is set to tie the knot with his Italian girlfriend in a Scientologist ceremony.
A source told Radar how the Mission Impossible actor has demanded Nicole, 51, is not included on the guestlist for the big day.
