Tributes have been paid to a “beautiful” mother-of-four who was stabbed to death at her own home, as a man is charged with her murder.

Nicole Hurley, 37, was found suffering multiple knife wounds at her flat in Broxwood Way, Primrose Hill.

Police were called to the address shortly before 1am on Sunday following reports of a disturbance. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

She became the 14th woman killed in London since Sarah Everard’s death with police saying her family are being supported by specialist officers.

Police launched a manhunt to find Jason Bell, 40, and he was arrested later the same day.

He was charged on Monday with murder and false imprisonment in relation to a third party.

Bell was remanded in custody to appear at Thames Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

Nicole Hurley’s brother Ryan posted a tribute with a fundraiser for her funeral.

He said: “Last night our world was flipped upside down and changed forever, the impossible happened and we lost our beautiful sister to the hands of a monster.

“We will pull together as a family as we always do and ensure that the four most amazing children have the best possible lives.”

The fundraiser looks to raise £5,000 for funeral expenses with any extra going towards Nicole’s children.

Close friend Brigitte Clements, who set up the GoFundMe, wrote: “This weekend tragedy hit our community.

“Jason, Nicole, Violet and Amira Bell tragically lost their mother in the most terrible of circumstances. These children have been the heart of our community.

“They help carry groceries for you if they see you carrying bags. They offer to water your plants when you are away. They come and offer to help to paint and repair whenever someone is busy tinkering. These children are not average.

“These children are extraordinary, and this is a testament to their incredible mother. They are bright, ambitious, curious and generous. They are four individuals that give you hope in what the future generation will bring. In one evening these children lost everything.”
