Russell Martin has moved to quell suggestions Nicolas Raskin has handed in a transfer request at Rangers.
The Belgium international has barely featured under the 39-year-old since he became the club's new head coach during the summer.
He lost his place in the starting XI to new signing Joe Rothwell.
In recent weeks, Raskin has struggled with a knock, as Martin also revealed that the midfielder potentially had his head turned by growing interest in his services.
This has led to speculation that Raskin could leave Ibrox before the end of the window in a fortnight's time.
However, Martin believes Raskin will be back to his best soon, as he dismissed talk that the 24-year-old had asked to leave.
"Yeah, he's got better and better, I think he'll get better and better," Martin responded to a question about Raskin's fitness and mindset. "He was only not in the squad on Saturday for a rest.
"He picked up a kick on Tuesday, but he's trained really well.

"I think, yeah, I think we... he's going to be a big player for us. I said that from the beginning.
"But I also said obviously it's been a difficult summer for him and all that, but I really, the last few weeks I've loved the energy that Nico's brought and he's going to be really important for us and he will he will play tomorrow and he'll be a big player for us.
"We analysed his clips, me and him together, from Tuesday.
"So yeah, no, I've not heard anything. Not at all.
"He's been brilliant and I'm pretty sure Kevin [Thelwell] and Patrick [Stewart] and the gang would have told me if we'd have heard that, so no."
