Arsenal fans couldn't hide their excitement as they were handed good news in their pursuit of Nicolas Pepe.
The Lille winger is reported to be a summer target for the Gunners as they look to strengthen their attacking options in order to challenge for the top four next term.
However it looked like Unai Emery's side were going to face some rather stiff competition from Champions League winners Liverpool who, according to RMC Sport's Mohamed Bouhafsi's interview with Get French Football News , were eying a big-money move.
That reported interest has been quashed, with reports in the Liverpool Echo branding speculation 'pure lies'.
While a move for Pepe could cost upwards of £70million, Arsenal's fans are somewhat optimistic that with Jurgen Klopp's side out of the way, it could be a move to the Emirates Stadium is on the cards.
