Arsenal legend Sol Campbell has predicted big things from club-record signing Nicloas Pepe.
The £72m signing from Lille last summer was named in the Gunners' starting XI against Manchester City on Saturday evening - the first time he's done so in the Premier League this season.
It's a reward for changing the game as a substitute against Sheffield United before the international break, but the jury remains out on the Ivory Coast international.
Whilst Pepe did produce some eye-catching performances during his debut campaign, he struggled for consistency under three different managers.
With that said, it would appear that he's back in favour under Mikel Arteta and Campbell has told the winger what he must do to make sure he holds down a regular place.
"He's a drifter, he's smooth, he's just got to get into that gear, Campbell said on Sky Sports. "He's got to get that consistency, every time he gets on the ball he has to be a threat in the last third.
"He's got the ability, he's got the pace, he's got a wonderful left foot.
"The end product, when he gets into those danger zones, that delivery or finishing it off, making the keeper work or scoring.
"That last third, I'm sure they are working on it, I'm sure.
"He's getting into it, big price-tag on his head, he's getting comfortable with it now and I can see the performances slowly coming."
Under Arteta, the Gunners usually lineup with an attacking trio regardless of the formation.
Captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is an automatic starter and summer signing Willian has been a regular in the side since arriving on a free transfer from London rivals Chelsea.
That leaves one remaining spot open to complete Arteta's dream front three and Campbell has told Pepe how he can earn his place.
