Nicolas Pepe has been told what he needs to do in order to become a key player in Mike Arteta's Arsenal side.
The Ivory Coast international made a big impact after coming on as a substitute in the Gunners' Premier League clash with Sheffield United at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.
He had a hand in the opening goal, scored by Bukayo Saka, before adding a second himself as Arsenal ran out 2-1 winners.
Pepe - a big-money signing from Lille last summer - was a topic for discussion in the Sky Sports studio after the match.
Former Manchester United star Patrice Evra is a fan - but feels the player still has work to do to fully establish himself in the Premier League.
“There was pressure on him [last season]. He came in, £60million I think he cost," said Evra.
"When I joined the Premier League, before I could become a beautiful player, you need to spend some time in the gym, being strong first.
"That’s what I want Pepe to do - he’s an amazing player who scored lots of goals in the French league and I have a lot of respect for the French league, but with the Premier League, you need to be strong before you start showing your football.
"One v one, Pepe is amazing.”
Fellow pundit Graeme Souness added: “I think there’s a real player in there.
"I just hope he can establish himself, and gets what our game is all about and the intensity of it.”
