Arsenal look to have won the race for highly rated winger Nicolas Pepe, with the Lille player set to complete his £72m move to the Emirates Stadium in the coming days.
The Gunners have been on the search for a wide man all summer, with names including Ryan Fraser, Wilfried Zaha and Yannick Carrasco being linked with summer moves.
When the transfer is completed, Pepe will become Emery's fourth summer signing after the captures of Gabriel Martinelli, Wiliam Saliba and Dani Ceballos earlier in the window.
The 24-year-old caught the eye of scouts around the world last season by scoring 22 goals and providing 11 assists in Ligue 1, with Arsenal fans excited to see if his impressive record can continue in the Premier League.
Comments previously made by Pepe's current coach will only add to the excitement for Gunners supporters.
"He amazes me, he amazes us," Lille manager Christophe Galtier said of the Ivory coast international back in February (via L'Equipe ).
"He's certain to become a world-class player because he knows how to do everything.
"He doesn't need an intermediate step. After the great season he's having with us, he can go straight to a Champions League club."
Despite failing to qualify for the Champions League last season, it seems that Pepe is now making his way to join Unai Emery and Arsenal this summer.
