Nicolas Mahut being consoled by his son after loss is the best French Open moment

This beautiful and emotional moment involving French tennis star Nicolas Mahut happened earlier in the week at Roland Garros, but because the video of it just went viral, it’s must-watch even days after.

Mahut had just lost in the third round to Leonardo Mayer (who would later lose to Roger Federer), leaving the 37-year-old — best known for the super epic 11-plus-hour match he lost to John Isner in 2010 at Wimbledon — in tears.

But then his son sprints across the iconic French Open red clay and hugs him, and the two walk off together hand in hand. It made for an unbelievable video and photo:
