Nicolas Claxton will learn from some of NBA’s best

On Sunday, NBA all-stars Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and DeAndre Jordan all expressed their intent to sign with the Brooklyn Nets, all on long-term contracts.

Those same Nets happen to be the new employer of former Georgia Bulldog forward Nicolas Claxton, who was drafted by the Nets last week.

A late first-round pick, Claxton was never projected to see a great deal of playing time early on in his NBA career. However, with these recent signings by the Nets, he will have the rare opportunity to learn from some of the best players who have ever stepped on the hardwood.

Durant in particular should be able to help Claxton immensely in developing his ball-handling and all-around versatility. As a tall yet mobile player, Claxton already has the physical gifts to be a star in the league later down the road, but under the tutelage of his new teammates in Brooklyn, he will now have the learning experience to take the next step.
