Nicola Sturgeon has urged Scots to be cautious after warning about a possible third wave of coronavirus across Europe.
In her final parliamentary statement on Covid before Parliament rises for the election, the First Minister said travel restrictions must be kept in place "for as long as we need".
Sturgeon used her statement to confirm her intention to launch a statutory public inquiry if the SNP is returned in May.
She recently announced a route map out of lockdown and she reiterated the indicative dates today.
However, on the new covid infections sweeping across Europe, which the UK Government may respond to by pushing through tougher curbs on international travel, she said: "Many countries across Europe appear to be on the brink of a third wave.
"All of that should remind us of the need to be careful and cautious.
"As we emerge from lockdown, we must do so steadily and surely - and in a way which does not allow the virus to run out of control.
"And we must keep in place other measures – for example travel restrictions – for as long as we need.
She also said the Government is helping to fund the creation of a "national memorial garden" in Pollok Park in Glasgow, as well as supporting Covid Community Memorial projects in locations across the country.
