The First Minister has issued her heartfelt congratulations to the final list of SNP candidates standing in the 2021 Holyrood elections.
Nicola Sturgeon also offered her commiserations to those that missed out on the coveted spots after the results were announced on Friday night.
The SNP leader said that the party still has ‘lots of work to do’ to ‘retain the hard earned trust of the Scottish people’.
She tweeted: “Congratulations to the successful SNP candidates, & commiserations to the challengers - I’m sure we’ll see more of all of them.
“We have lots of work to do between now and May, to retain the hard earned trust of the Scottish people, and take Scotland forward to independence.”
Justice Secretary Humza Yousaf also tweeted his congratulations to the candidates with a special mention for Kaukab Stewart who hopes to represent Glasgow Kelvin.
Mr Yousaf wrote: “What an excellent slate of candidates who will all make brilliant MSPs in Holyrood next year. Well done to all of those selected - the real hard work begins.
“A special mention for Kakuab Stewart who could become the first female of Colour elected to the Scottish Parliament.”
The constituency candidates include former SNP Westminster leader Angus Robertson as he bids to return to frontline politics.
He lost his seat at the 2017 general election to the future Scottish Tory leader Douglas Ross.
But he selection means he now has a chance at winning the seat Scottish Parliament vote in May.
