Nicola Sturgeon will give a coronavirus update to the Scottish Parliament tomorrow.
The First Minister will speak to MSPs at Holyrood at 2pm where she is expected to address the dramatic rise in covid case numbers over Christmas.
Provisional figures released by the Scottish Government revealed that more than 11,000 positive cases are estimated to have been recorded on Boxing Day (December 26), while provisional data shows 8,252 registered on Christmas Day (December 25) and 10,562 on December 27.
A full breakdown of statistics has not been available during the festive period due to offices being closed, and Ms Sturgeon is also expected to confirm the number of deaths, hospitalisations, intensive care patients and cases linked to covid.

Scottish ministers will meet tomorrow morning ahead of the statement, but the First Minister is not expected to announce new restrictions at this time.
It comes after National Clinical Director Jason Leitch said cases were expected to continue rising after the new year due to the more infectious Omicron variant, with the spike "around mid to late January, maybe even pushing into February".
Speaking on the BBC's Good Morning Scotland programme, Professor Leitch said: "The modelling suggests that the peak of the Omicron wave in the United Kingdom will be somewhere around mid to late January, maybe even pushing into February.
"That will depend quite a lot on human behaviour. That will depend on what we do now.
"We may not want the peak earlier remember, because if this is an enormous wave we may want it to draw out over a longer period because you might then get more people vaccinated."
