Nicola Sturgeon will announce a decision on lifting restrictions on hospitality and indoor live events tomorrow.
Th First Minister will address the Scottish Parliament tomorrow and, if a move is approved, it will apply from Monday, January 24.
At her briefing last Tuesday, she said: "Cabinet will next review the data at our meeting a week today.
"I hope this will allow us to lift the other protective measures, limits on indoor live events, table service in hospitality and
distancing in indoor public places.
"However, I will confirm this in my statement next week."
It comes as restrictions around outdoor events are lifted from today – with the limit of 500 people in attendance being scrapped.
Vaccine certification will be in place for events with a crowd of 1,000 people or more, which would see at least 50 per cent of attendees checked.
It is likely the covid passport scheme will be expanded across Scotland's venues to allow more measures to be eased.
Ms Sturgeon said: "As we do lift these other protective measures, it will be necessary to consider again if extending the scope of covid certification to other venues might be a necessary protection.
"To be clear, we have not yet taken any decisions on this and it will require careful judgment. But I want to be clear to Parliament today that it is something we feel bound to give appropriate consideration to."
