Nicola Sturgeon shares sweet throwback on 10 year wedding anniversary

Nicola Sturgeon has shared a sweet throwback on her 10 year wedding anniversary.

The First Minister took to Twitter to celebrate the milestone with husband Peter Murrell.

She shared a picture of the couple from their wedding day in 2010.

Nicola can be seen in her white halter neck dress beaming next to Peter.

Peter, who is Chief Executive of Scottish National Party, took to social media tweeting '3,653 days and counting...' alongside a stunning snap of their special day.

Retweeting her husband this morning, the FM said '10 years' with a love heart emoji melting her followers hearts.

Many were quick to congratulate the happy couple and their huge milestone.

Scotland's Justice Minister, Humza Yousaf said: "This is the most on-brand Peter Murrell tweet I've seen. Congrats to you both!"

Another said: "Happy Anniversary to you both."

Others commented: "Awww what a big week for you! Happy anniversary to you both."

Someone else said: "Happy anniversary Nicola, thank u for all the hard work you’ve done over the last few months and years of being our FM. Have a great day x"

It was just yesterday Peter Murrel joked he had been 'dumped' by the First Minister after she enjoyed 'the sweetest reunion of all'.

It comes after the  First Minister  tweeted a picture of her hairdresser Julie, who was wearing a mask and face visor, starting to cut her locks.

After months in lockdown without her hairdresser, Julie, she had been relying on Peter to help tackle her locks.

But now as hairdressers, bars, and restaurants, start to open their doors again the SNP leader could finally go back to the professionals.

But she urged Scots not to 'lose the heid' as pubs reopened today after months of lockdown.

She warned that the virus could again gain momentum and urged caution.
