Nicola Sturgeon has revealed seven new cases of coronavirus relate to a singe care home in Glasgow.
The First Minister did not name the home, but said all necessary checks were being carried out.
Speaking at her daily press conference, she said on Friday and Sunday there had been a higher number of cases than would normally have been the case in recent weeks.
She said: “With respect to yesterday, the 19 cases that were reported yesterday, we know that 12 of these cases were in Glasgow and seven of those, all of which were asymptomatic cases related to one single care home.
"That is being looked at in much more detail.”
However, Sturgeon said the numbers were still “very low”.
Jason Leitch, the national clinical director, said there was no suggestion" of a "localised community outbreak".
Care homes have been at the epicentre of the deadly pandemic, with around half of all deaths occurring in this setting.
The First Minister’s statement came as further freedoms were restored as part of phase three of the government lockdown routemap.
As of today, non-essential shops inside shopping centres can re-open, as can all dental practices for non-aerosol routine care.
Also permitted is organised outdoor contact sports, play and physical activity for children and young people under 18.
