It's been a long four months for Scots since lockdown was imposed - especially for the thousands sheilding.
But today Nicola Sturgeon offered some respite from social isolation they've endured by easing restriction in a number of areas from tomorrow.
And she went a step further with additional news that as from Saturday, August 1 she'll pause the requirement for anyone to shield, meaning the majority of people will follow the same set of rules.
All shielders will be sent letters explaining exactly what this means for them.
Tomorrow's changes apply to most shielders, including children and young people, although anyone living in residential care should follow their facility's advice.
Anyone waiting on an organ transplant is urged to speak to their transplant team to find out what is best for them.
So what can you do from tomorrow?
- meet indoors with up to eight people from two other households, with physical distancing
- meet outdoors with up to 15 people from four other households outdoors with physical distancing
- use public transport wearing a face covering
- go to pubs and restaurants with outdoor spaces
- use formal childcare providers – this does not apply to children who are shielding
- go to shops and leisure venues with a face covering, including shops, pharmacies and indoor markets
- go to hairdressers, barbers and other personal retail services
- visit museums, galleries, libraries, cinemas and other visitor attractions
