Nicola Sturgeon phase three lockdown announcement tomorrow and what's likely to change in Scotland

Scotland is likely to begin it's third phase of lockdown easing this week.

The First Minister is expected to confirm restart dates for a whole host of activities and businesses as the country slowly returns to 'normality'.

Hairdressers, shopping malls and cinemas are among those likely to be given the go ahead to start trading again following months of lockdown amid the coronavirus pandemic.

And families and friends will be able to meet indoors for the first time since lockdown began, if the plan to relax social distancing rules is approved.

Nicola Sturgeon is scheduled to make the announcement at her daily briefing tomorrow afternoon, laying out the Scottish Government's latest plans.

The list of anticipated changes and dates includes:

July 10 - allowing extended groups to meet outdoors; and a maximum of three households  indoors

July 13 - organised outdoor contact sports for children and young people resuming; all dental practices to see registered patients for non-aerosol routine care; increasing capacity within community optometry practices for emergency and essential eye care; non-essential businesses in shopping malls can re-open

July 15 - all holiday accommodation returning; pubs, restaurants and indoor hospitality reopening; hairdressers and barbers trading; museums, galleries, cinemas, monuments, libraries open; all childcare providers restarting

Advice on a return to work for non-essential offices and call centres is expected to be given either tomorrow  or at the next three weekly review on July 23.

Further information will also be released on the phased return of universities and colleges as well as easing of restrictions on weddings and funerals.
